There are a lot of different variations of bubble tea, but this one is my favorite. It is sweet and refreshing with chewy tapioca pearls. It's also easy to make and it's a great summer drink.
This simple and classic boba recipe is made with 2 ingredients - water and brown sugar! You can use a variety of different types of sugar for this syrup, but I recommend using brown sugar as it adds more depth and flavour to the boba.
Making the boba pearls is really simple, but it does take a little bit of practice to get them right! The key is to keep the tapioca pearls moist but not soggy. You can do this by keeping them in a bowl of hot water until they are ready to be used.
Then, once the pearls are cooked, you can start adding them to the sugar mixture. Warm the brown sugar over medium heat to soften it a bit before adding the pearls, stirring to coat them with the syrup.
Next, you'll want to assemble the drinks. To do this, you'll want to have the warm boba, ice cubes, your liquid and of course a boba straw!
You can serve this drink immediately or refrigerate it for up to 4 days.
If you like a stronger taste, you can increase the amount of syrup you use or add more milk and ice. This is a delicious and sweet drink that you will want to enjoy again and again.
