Jen Lilley hasn’t had a ton of screen time over the years but she was a great addition to the Salem cast. She brought a fire that was needed in the Kiriakis family. Fans have been clamoring for her return and it looks like they will get their wish this month. However, it won’t be for the happiest of reasons.

The character of Theresa Donovan was first introduced in 1990 and then again in 1992. She was portrayed by several child actors and then a few different adult actresses until 2013. In July of that year, she was re-introduced as the daughter of DOOL supercouple Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly Brady (Patsy Pease). It was Lilley’s temporary portrayal of Maxie Jones on General Hospital that caught the eye of producers and she was brought back to Days in a recurring role.

During her return, Theresa teamed up with ISA agent Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to bust a drug dealer and keep their son Tate safe. However, her past came back to haunt her when she got involved with a dangerous ex-boyfriend. She had to lie to Brady and leave Salem, but she promised him she would return one day. She ultimately agreed to use herself as bait in a trap to take down Mateo and promised her son that she would be back.

But sadly, it was just too much for Theresa and she left again. She was last seen leaving a memorial service for Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) in November. Soap Opera Digest reported that Dena Higley and Ryan Quan have teased a return for Theresa.
