When halo infinite was first released, there were a lot of people wondering what happened to locke. We know that he was in the game, but we didn’t really hear much about him or see him on screen. It seemed like he was dead, but we’re not sure if that’s true or not. There’s a chance that he was killed in between games, but he could have died in another way as well.
In the game, Locke was part of a team known as Fireteam Osiris. This was a group of old spartan 2s that were trained by some of the best and highest figures in unsc back in the day. This included the legendary Master Chief himself. This team of spartans took on a variety of different missions throughout the game, including fighting the covenant and even forerunner constructs.
The team was sent by captain lasky on a mission to zeta halo to intercept a Forerunner artifact known as the Infinity. On their way, they encountered the planet’s caretaker AI 031 Exuberant Witness. This AI tried to convince Cortana to stop her plans, but she refused. Blue Team then fought the Warden Eternal, who was one of Cortana’s enforcers. After he was defeated, the team boarded a Guardian and barely escaped to the Forerunner world of Genesis, where they reunited with Master Chief.
Before halo infinite came out, there were a lot of rumors about what happened to locke and the rest of fireteam osiris. Some of these rumors were confirmed by audio logs, but the rest were left to speculation. There are some hints that the team was alive and well, however. For example, a Mega Bloks toy set that was released before the game’s release featured a Brute (Hyperius from The Hand of Atriox) wearing Locke’s Hunter helmet as a shoulder pad.
