Pigeons are one of the most common birds found in all parts of the world. They are known for their stout bodies, short necks and slender beaks.
They are usually black, gray and white, but they can also be seen in shimmering colors like purple and green. They are a common sight on roofs, balconies and attics where they collect sticks and leaves to make their nests.
The pigeon is easy to draw and it can be taught to kids from an early age. It can improve their creativity and help them to develop problem-solving skills.
Drawing a pigeon helps children to understand the body parts of the bird, such as head, beak, eyes, neck, body and wings. It also teaches them to follow stepwise instructions to complete a drawing, which will improve their artistic skills.
To begin with, draw a circle on the lower left side of the paper as a guide for the pigeon’s head. Then draw a smaller circle on the top right side of the paper as a guide for its neck.
Next, draw two lines to form the pigeon’s body. Then, add two more lines for the wings and a few more for the feet underneath the pigeon’s body.
After finishing the drawing, you can color it in your choice of colors. However, try to avoid too much coloring in this step as it can cause confusion.
