Netflix’s Queer Eye has changed countless lives. Whether it’s an unemployed single mother who just wants her house to look nice, or a young man with an eating disorder who needs a new diet, the show helps people feel better about themselves.
The series reunites the Fab Five — Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk — in a reboot of the hit series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (2003-2007). Rather than New York City, the Fab Five travel around Georgia to help men who’ve been nominated by friends or family get their homes, fashion, grooming, and lifestyles in order.
Throughout the show’s five seasons, the Fab Five has found heroes that touch viewers’ hearts. The producers describe these heroes as individuals who are in a crossroads in their lives, and they need guidance from the Fab Five to turn things around.
The process of nominating someone to be on Queer Eye is as easy as sending an email to [email protected]. When the show was filming in Texas last year, Bobby Berk posted an Instagram message inspiring fans to nominate anyone they think would benefit from their advice.
Once you’ve sent in your nomination, it can take some time to find out if the cast will be in the area for filming. It’s also important to note that casting is location-based, and if you live in another state, you may not be able to be nominated for the season you want.
