September 8, 2023

Despite all the joyous moments of the Alaskan Bush People family, there have been quite a few tragedies that have affected the show. Most recently, the show lost its patriarch Billy Brown in February 2021 after he suffered from a seizure. This was a huge blow to the family as they had been living off the grid for years now. Fortunately, the family was able to come together after this loss.

Matt Brown left the show in 2016 to undergo alcohol addiction treatment, and he hasn't returned since. He's now living a sober life in California, and fans are wondering whether or not he will return to the show one day.
