Known as ‘Crime Junkie’ to millions of true crime fans around the world, Ashley Flowers from Indianapolis and her childhood friend Brit Prawat have been co-hosting this weekly podcast since 2017. The two bring out episodes every week for the true crime loving audience.
In the latest episode, titled Missing: Michelle Eason Part 2, the podcast covered the case of sex worker Michelle Eason who was last seen in Poughkeepsie, New York in 2022. However, in the end of the show, Ashley Flowers made an announcement that Brit Prawat has a health issue and will need to take time off to focus on her recovery.
It was then that she revealed that she has been dealing with a sudden brain bleed which formed a blood clot and necessitated her to undergo several surgeries. She added that she has been battling this disease for the past few months and needs all the love & support from her fans to get well soon.
The post was met with a lot of love and well-wishes from the fans who have been keeping up with the podcast. Many shared their experiences of dealing with the same condition and told her that they are praying for her to recover soon. Other fans expressed their empathy saying that they had a history of brain surgeries as well and know how tough it is to get back to normal. They wished her the best and hoped that she would return to her work soon.
