QVC host Carolyn Gracie announced in a heartfelt Facebook post that she would be leaving the home shopping network. The beloved TV personality thanked her viewers for the support throughout her remarkable 19-year tenure and promised new adventures in store. She invited her followers to follow her on her new Facebook and Instagram pages, promising engaging content related to pets, gardening, RVing and more.
Gracie’s announcement came on the heels of fellow QVC host Dan Hughes, who also announced his departure from the company after 33 years. The duo’s departures from the West Chester-based shopping channel shook many fans. The pair’s respective posts come after a news release from parent company Qurate Retail Group that said “due to operational challenges” in 2022, it had made the “difficult decision” to eliminate “a significant number of roles across QVC US and HSN.”
Both Gracie and Hughes received a great deal of support from their viewers following their layoffs. Thousands of people commented on their social media posts wishing them the best in their future endeavors. They both expressed deep gratitude to their loyal viewers for the support and encouraged them to stay connected through their new social media platforms. In addition, Gracie shared that she was looking forward to spending more time with her furry friends and traveling to new places. Dan, on the other hand, vowed to focus more on writing and enjoying family and friends.
