As the season comes to an end, fans of The Good Doctor are wondering what happened to dr glassman daughter. It was revealed during the finale that Maddie had been using drugs and that she ultimately overdosed on one. This led to her death. However, it wasn't an intentional act. Maddie taunted her father and said that she had died hating him. She felt that Glassman prioritized Shaun over her and she couldn't stand his favoritism. This led her to use drugs as a way to cope.
Throughout the season, Maddie was seen to be close with in-house attorney Jessica Preston. This grew as the two became friends and ran track together as a hobby. Maddie started to feel that her dad was not present in her life because he was so busy with his hospital duties. She became resentful of her dad and blamed him for missing things such as her birthdays. She eventually used drugs and he retaliated by kicking her out of the house.
While it seems like the season 3 finale was an intense cliffhanger, there are more problems on The Good Doctor horizons. It's unclear if the series will return for another season, but it has been given a green light by ABC. Hopefully, it will premiere again sometime in spring. We will update you when we have more news.
