What Happened to Fetty Wap's Eye?

March 20, 2024

Ever since Fetty Wap’s hit single Trap Queen began to blow up, there have been a lot of theories on how he lost his eye. Some think he was shot in the face, while others think he traded his eye for fame or is a devil worshipper. The truth is that he actually lost his eye to glaucoma. In an interview with TMZ, Fetty Wap (real name Willie Maxwell II) revealed that his left eye was lost to glaucoma when he was only six months old.

Growing up, Fetty Wap was often bullied due to his condition. His mother eventually took him to a doctor who was able to save his right eye, but his left one wasn’t as lucky. Since then, he’s used his condition as inspiration to make music and encourage people to be themselves.

Fetty Wap has also been a big advocate for marijuana use for medical purposes. He has a personal experience with using cannabis to help manage his glaucoma. This article will explore his story, as well as research on the role of cannabis in glaucoma management.

As a result of his advocacy, he’s been locked up since October of 2021 for drug dealing in New Jersey and Long Island. He’s still determined to leave his mark on hip-hop and plans to release more music from prison. He keeps his spirits up by working out and spending time with fellow rappers like 50 Cent and Coi Leray.
