In 2021, Juno revealed that she won’t be returning for the sixth season of workin moms as Frankie. The actress stated that she was happy with her work on the show but wanted to take advantage of the many open avenues that came her way as a result of the series’ popularity. Thankfully, it looks like her decision paid off because Juno now hosts My Special Guest, a web series in which she interviews various celebrities. She has also appeared as April in Y: The Last Man, another highly acclaimed and anticipated show that unfortunately wasn’t renewed for a second season.
Frankie was a major character on the show up until the end of season 5, where she was written out due to Juno’s decision to leave. She was replaced by Sloane, who is a new character that’s trying to balance her own career with being a mother. While Sloane is an interesting character and is a good addition to the cast, it does feel like something’s missing without Frankie around.
In the season 5 finale, we see Frankie relocating to a different city to start her career again and to be closer to her partner Giselle (Olunike Adeliyi). While it’s unclear what will happen to them in the future, we can assume that Frankie will return someday as she is an important part of the story. We just hope that the writers will find a way to bring her back in some capacity so that fans can continue to see this big-hearted, lighthearted character on the show.
