Little People, Big World fans know Matt Roloff and his family pretty well. But they may not know that he also had siblings, including a brother who passed away.
Josh roloff was Matt's younger brother who passed away in 1999. His death was devastating to everyone in the family.
He was 34 years old on the day he died, but he managed to survive several surgeries to fix his heart and lung problems.
In fact, he did so much to fight against the odds that doctors weren't sure that he would survive his first day of life.
As a result, the Roloffs had to undergo several procedures for him to get healthy enough to go home from the hospital.
The eldest sibling, Matt, was born with diastrophic dysplasia, a condition that makes it difficult for him to grow. He has undergone over a dozen surgeries and treatments to help him live as normal a life as possible, but he's still a "little person."
There are a few other family members that have suffered some major losses in their lives, too. Amy, for example, lost her dog Felix two days before she got married to Chris Marek in 2021.
Tori and Zach, meanwhile, have faced their own set of losses. Their family dog, Sully, died of liver cancer in 2017.
In addition to his parents, Ron and Peggy, Josh was joined by his sister Ruth and brother Sam. Although neither of them are ever featured on the TLC reality show, they are both little people like their older sibling.
