In the first movie, Leon joined Dom’s crew along with Jesse, Letty, and Vince. He acted as the lookout during their street races and participated in some truck hijacks that Dom orchestrated. But by the end of the film, he left the crew for good. He was last seen driving Dom, Mia, and an injured Letty away. After the truck heist went wrong, Dominic informed Brian that Leon and Letty were “long gone.”
Throughout the rest of the franchise, Leon never returned. But even so, fans have been wondering if the character could make a comeback in the 10th movie in the franchise, Fast X. As the franchise continues to evolve, old characters like Vince and Sherika De Armas have returned, while Han was resurrected in F9. But what about Leon?
Johnny Strong, who portrayed Leon, has said that he would be open to reprising his role in the future. But he also noted that it would have to be the right story for him to do so.
If the Fast X finale does indeed end up being the penultimate movie in the franchise, then it will probably be hard to bring back Leon. The next two movies in the series will probably focus on the rise and fall of Owen Shaw, who killed Han. And while the franchise has brought back other villains in the past, it is doubtful that they will revive Leon’s character.
