What Happened to Robin McGraw's Sister Cindi Broaddus?

July 29, 2023

Cindi Broaddus, the sister-in-law of Phil McGraw, died last week 17 years after she survived a random acid attack. According to her obituary published in The Duncan Banner, Broaddus passed away on Feb. 19 and her funeral was scheduled for Friday, which would have been her 69th birthday. McGraw and his wife Robin were quick to pay tribute to their late sister on Instagram, where they shared a family photo collage of the late broadcaster and mother-of-three.

“We have lost a dear friend, sister and beloved aunt,” the pair wrote in their caption of a collage featuring pictures of Broaddus with her daughters, ages 3, 7, and 10. “She was a loving and kind woman and touched the hearts of many people throughout her life.”

Broaddus’s daughters also shared a touching post to honor their late mom. “Cindi Broaddus was a beautiful and inspiring woman of faith, love and forgiveness,” her sisters wrote. “She loved her family and friends very much. Her legacy will continue to live on through her three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

LARRY KING LIVE: Dr. Phil McGraw and Cindi Broaddus, whose face was scarred by sulfuric acid after a senseless, random act of violence and whose new book, "A Random Act," has a foreword from the doctor himself, are next on LARRY KING LIVE. Don't miss the show!

In the era of the #MeToo movement, it is time to call out predators like McGraw. The celebrity psychologist has made a career out of humiliating vulnerable people on his TV show and his behavior is especially appalling when it comes to mentally ill people.
