The 19-year-old stabbed her foster mother, Lisa Knoefel, 41, of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, 178 times while she was sleeping. She is reportedly serving life in prison but may be eligible for parole after 30 years.

She was convicted of aggravated murder in November 2022 and testified against her foster father Kevin Knoefel who was also found guilty of assisting her to kill the woman. He’s currently incarcerated at the Lake County Jail in Lake County, Ohio.

According to her testimony, she and her foster father started dating in Spring of 2012 and he convinced her to kill his wife. She agreed and she told police that the whole thing was his idea.

During the interview, she flashed a smile for the camera but didn’t explain why her teeth were missing. She also revealed that she was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, and depression.
