  1. Schwans could have been saved. Could have adapted. Management carries the blame!
    The first mistake was changing the name.
    Schwans core business philosophy was sound.
    The only stumbling alarm was product variety and inventory control.
    A modest bit of merger and acquisition would have been appropriate moves for the company, and surprisingly still is!
    Management failed to parlay decades of inventory control with the high quality foods they were already known for.
    Home delivery was on the move nationwide.
    Again, management failed to expand and manipulate in a positive way, what the company had already established!
    The real irony is, Schwans can still be resurrected; with no name change, and the correct advertising campaign, minimal investment is staring somebody in the face!!

  2. Well this just sucks. I was homeless for 5 years and I finally got a home and NOW Shwans is closing down? I’m so sad. I loved their food!

  3. I am saddened by this news! For years in years, I bought from swans yes in the yellow truck from the state of West Virginia back in 2021. I met California, and kind of lost touch with Shawn, and now I’m sad to hear this news because just thinking and talking about it to my family and friends that didn’t realize this happened.
