What Happened to Shannon Sharpe?

SHANNON SHARPEE reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports and ended his seven-year run alongside Skip Bayless on FS1's Undisputed. The former Denver Broncos star was a fan favorite and was best known for his defense of LeBron James and criticism of Tom Brady and the Dallas Cowboys.

There appeared to be tension on and off the set between Sharpe and Bayless throughout their time together. They had several verbal spats that crossed the line and felt personal to Sharpe. Ultimately, it was those clashes that led to Sharpe leaving the show.

During the last episode of Undisputed, Sharpe thanked his co-host and everyone else involved in the show. He also gave a shoutout to his new co-host on First Take, Stephen A. Smith, who publicly went to bat for him and stated that he wanted Sharpe on the show.

While it remains to be seen if Sharpe will join the team on First Take, it seems like the likelihood is high. He was a popular analyst for ESPN's NFL coverage and has experience on other shows such as First Take. Moreover, the network isn't in the habit of letting its analysts go on hiatus. Therefore, it will be interesting to see who replaces Sharpe on Undisputed. The network will have a few options to choose from, including Richard Sherman, Keyshawn Johnson, and Michael Irvin. In addition to those three, they will likely have a look at some other possible candidates.
