On November 30 of this year, Tiktok influencer Shyla Walker announced that her 29-year-old sister Shanice was hospitalized with severe brain damage. She took to Instagram to share a heartbreaking post, explaining her sister's condition.
In the caption of the post, Shyla pleaded with her followers to help her through this difficult time. She said that her sister was fighting for her life in Northridge Hospital in Los Angeles, California. She also claimed that the doctors had "given up on her even before they ran tests" and refused to give her more medicine because they thought it wouldn't help. She went on to say that she was attempting to transfer her sister to UCLA, Mayo Clinic or cedar Sinai neuro departs for care and a second opinion. Shyla also blamed doctors Anthony Murphy and Ajeet Sodhi for the negligence in her sister's case.
Shyla and her sister grew up together alongside their mother and brother Ruben Westside Chavez. They both attended high school, where they were active members of the drama club and participated in a couple of plays.
