What Happened to Taehyung?

July 12, 2023

Despite BTS’ success as global entertainers, they have not been immune to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. It was recently revealed that vocalist Kim Taehyung, who goes by the name V, has tested positive for Covid-19. He visited the hospital on February 15 with symptoms of a sore throat and a PCR test confirmed his infection.

His label, Big Hit Music, released a statement addressing his condition and asked fans to keep him in their prayers. They will continue to follow the guidelines from health care authorities as they care for him at home.

ARMYs have been supportive of the singer and have rallied to support his recovery. One fan wrote, “Taehyung is a great person who really loves his fans and makes sure to make the most of every opportunity to communicate with them. He doesn’t deserve this and I hope he feels better soon.”

The singer is expected to release his solo album before he enlists in the military next year. It is also possible that he may launch his own fashion line, which would be in collaboration with designer Lee Joo-hee. He also has a flair for acting and proved that with his performance in the historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.

He also made waves with his dazzling collaboration with Swedish singer Zara Larsson. He is a fan of jazz music and has teased that fans will be able to hear something ‘jazzy’ from him in the future.
