The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has one of the most entertaining house bands in late-night TV. From Jon Batiste’s wildly popular jazz group, Stay Human, to Louis Cato’s guitar-playing improvisational commentary, the band members are some of the most beloved stars on the show. But there’s one member of the band that stands out from the rest, the drummer in the cowboy hat. He’s not only a great musician, but also an interesting personality. There have been rumors and speculations that the drummer on the late show is gay, but he has never made his sexuality public. Joe Saylor is a Julliard graduate and the percussionist for Jon Batiste’s wildly popular Jazz band on The Late Show. He is married and has a family, but he has not disclosed anything about his private life. He has been a regular on the show since 2015, and his calm demeanor and deep engagement have added to its appeal.

What Happened to the Cowboy Drummer On The Late Show

After seven seasons, Jonathan Batiste has left The Late Show to pursue his own projects. He’ll be replaced by Louis Cato, the interim leader who took over the summer for the house band Stay Human. Cato will be joined by the rest of the band, including drummer Joe Saylor and longtime members of the group, Louis Fouche, Jon Lampley, Endea Owens, and Negah Santos.

Joe Saylor has missed two episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and his fans are concerned about his wellbeing. They presume that he might have contracted Covid-19, or that he is taking a break from work.
