A long time West Michigan radio personality has disappeared from the airwaves, leaving fans wondering what exactly has happened. Listeners last heard Tony Gates, his co-host Michelle McCormick and producer Travis Gibbs on WLAV's morning show on April 19th.

WLAV is a classic rock station that is part of Cumulus Media and is the leading classic rock radio station in Grand Rapids, MI. The station has been in the top ten in ratings consistently for the past several years.

The Cumulus radio station has broadcasted pre-recorded parts of Tony Gates' show without a warning to the public. This started on April 20 and lasted for two weeks until April 29.

Gregg Henson Will Fill The Slot Created By Tony Gates In APRIL

Brand Manager GREGG HENSON will be returning to WLAV in GRAND RAPIDS as morning co-host along with his former WKRK/DETROIT co-host MICHELLE MCKORMICK and creator TRAVIS GIBBS for what its being branded as "Michelle And Gregg With Travis."

Henson joins the WLAV team from Richmond VA where he has been serving as Program Director for Audacy News/Talk 1140/96.1 WRVA and Sports “910/105.1 The Fan” WRNL. He has also served as host and programmer at WDFN Detroit, 950 WPEN Philadelphia, 970 WBGG Pittsburgh, 1300 KVET Austin and 105.3 KRLD-FM Dallas during his career.

Henson has a long and successful career in radio and has hosted multiple dual market afternoon shows in his past. He has a solid track record of success and was recently awarded the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Radio Awards as the Medium Market Personality of the Year.
