On the 27th of August, 2021, Marissa Cloutier who is well-known as Digital Princess online, was arrested on charges of child neglect. She was accused of leaving her son alone at home. Her neighbours found the boy roaming outside her house crying, so they alerted the police.
Marissa is a famous YouTuber, TikToker, Twitch streamer and an influencer who has millions of followers across the globe. She is also an entrepreneur who owns an online fashion store where she sells hoodies and T-shirts. She is also a huge fan of Pokemon and even has some of the characters tattooed on her body.
However, her fame didn’t last long as she was charged with child neglect by the authorities. She was also sued by Nintendo as they accused her of using their copyright name “Poke” on all her social media platforms and merchandise. This forced her to change her username from Pokeprincxss to Digital Princess. The child neglect case was dropped by the Lee County after Marissa was read her Miranda rights and apologised for her mistake.
