In the recent Netflix documentary, 'Our Father', Cline is shown to have fathered 94 children and counting by artificially inseminating women with his own sperm. He was a reputed fertility doctor in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 70s and 80s, but he has been accused of abusing his patients.
The film follows one of his patients, Jacoba Ballard, who was suspicious of Cline after she used a 23AndMe DNA test to find her half-siblings. When she uncovered this fact, it prompted her to go on a quest to uncover the truth about her own ancestry.
She discovered that he had fathered more than a 100 children during his 30 years of practice and that many of them were related to her, as well. The number of his 'donor children' is expected to increase as more and more of his half-siblings take their DNA tests.
According to the documentary, Cline's wife is called Susie, but in reality, she is Audrey. She is a relatively private person and maintains a low profile. She and her husband have two children together, Donna and Doug.
In an interview in 2019, she admitted that she was unhappy with her husband’s actions and thought it would destroy their marriage. However, she is still married to him and he has not committed any further crimes. The pair also has two sons, Donna and Doug together.
