Dr Shashank Jain, board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology, is a dedicated cardiologist who has over 20 years of clinical practice. He believes in patient-centered care, which he delivers with honesty, compassion and respect for patients’ individual autonomy.
His expertise includes percutaneous management of shock, coronary and valvular disease with trans-catheter aortic or mitral valve replacement (TAVR, TMVR), trans-catheter mitral valve edge-to-edge repair such as MitraClip, left atrial appendage occlusion and PFO/ASD closure.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has a keen interest in introducing the latest techniques for management of at-risk patients. He has been a site principle investigator on over 24 multi-center clinical research trials and is involved in multiple new device research technologies.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Jain is also internationally recognized as a leader in the field of cardiac imaging, specifically Cardiac MRI, behavioral and mental stress and heart disease and cardiotoxicity of cancer chemotherapy. He has published more than 125 original scientific papers and book chapters. He has lectured worldwide and earned many awards throughout his career. He has served on numerous editorial boards and is a member of several medical societies. He has been a member of the NIH’s PreVAIL kIds and RECOVER initiative and is currently a collaborator in numerous research studies.
